Kathy Colace confirms split from John Laurinaitis (via Instagram and WWE)
It has not been a great year for the Garcia family. Nikki and Brie Garcia, better known as The Bella Twins, have faced several issues over the past few months or so. In addition to Nikki Bella‘s ongoing divorce proceedings, John Laurinaitis, former WWE Head of Talent of Relations, found himself embroiled in a s*x trafficking lawsuit. The former wrestler had been married to the twins’ mother, Kathy Colace.
Recently, Colace herself revealed that wasn’t the case anymore. During an appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie Bella seemingly hinted at her mother being single. However, the former Divas Champion clarified that this didn’t mean she was ready to mingle. Colace then explained how important it was to express their emotions during such difficult times openly. The Bella Twins’ mother refrained from mentioning their ex-father-in-law’s name.
Laurinaitis, alongside Vince McMahon and WWE, are named co-defendants in a lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant. After the allegations came to light in January, fans were curious about what The Bella Twins thought.

It didn’t take long for Nikki and Brie to release a statement. Days later, they jointly condoned the heinous allegations and the actions of the top WWE executives. Furthermore, the Hall of Famers advocated for the safety of female employees in the company.
Laurinaitis departed WWE in July 2022 after McMahon’s initial hush money scandals came to light. The latter soon followed suit as he ‘retired’ from his positions. Despite initially claiming he was also a victim of McMahon’s actions, Laurinaitis backtracked in another statement and joined sides with his former boss.
Latest updates in the ongoing trafficking lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon and WWE
The s*xual trafficking allegations have certainly put a dent in WWE’s reputation. The company has received criticism for seemingly cooperating in hiding Vince McMahon’s heinous acts over the years. At the moment, the lawsuit is on hold due to an ongoing federal investigation against McMahon and WWE.
In the meantime, Grant had filed a petition to seek her medical records against Dr. Carlon Colker. The lawsuit references Colker as the celebrity doctor McMahon sent Grant to during their affair. Colker allegedly refused to give any information about the medications he provided to Grant. The substances inside these medications caused her to suffer nausea.
Ahead of the Netflix docuseries on McMahon, sources confirmed that the producers reached out to Grant for a potential sit-down interview. However, things didn’t come to fruition. Nonetheless, the documentary has managed to further tarnished the former WWE chairman’s name.
