A total of 66 goals were scored that day by 20 teams across 10 matches in the 22 team Division One of English Football. To put that into perspective, the highest number of goals scored across a single round (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) of Premier League football is 44. Five of the 10 matches ended with five goals or more and Fulham and Blackburn were the biggest winners.

The 1963/64 season ended with Liverpool winning the division with Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur making the rest of the top 4. One can only hope that this Boxing Day fixtures brings the same kind of results.
