‘The End of the Storm’ – Documentary on Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning season to be released on Discovery+

Liverpool finally got their hands on the Premier League title after a long gap in the 2019-20 Premier League season. After agonizingly missing out on the title by a point in the 2018-19 season, Jurgen Klopp’s men proved their superiority on all accounts with a terrific show of character and grit to finish with 99 points. They won a whopping 32 games out of the 38 matches they played and lost only thrice.

Their front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah breathed fire throughout the season while the midfield marshalled by skipper Jordan Henderson did their work with aplomb. The defense led by the ever dependable Virgil van Dijk and the playmaking full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson posed immense threat no matter who the opposition was. In the end, they were title winners and deservedly so.
