After working day in and day out in WWE for more than 20 years, The Miz has finally achieved the status of a legend. He has accomplished many things throughout his career and is an active wrestler, with the third-most matches in history. The 43-year-old veteran discussed how finding a place on the SummerSlam match card made it difficult for him.

He gave an interview to TV Insider and talked about how things were going under the leadership of Triple H. The Miz had only positive things to say about the product development under him, stating that so many major storylines were ready for SummerSlam. That was why Miz felt he might not be able to wrestle in his hometown.

The A-Lister also appreciated the fact that WWE was only doing 5 to 6 matches on a PLE. It certainly provided the opportunity for the matches to last longer, which ultimately helped the storylines. One-half of Awesome Truth gave credit to Hunter and called him a resource for helping him understand how he wanted the matches to play out.

I don’t know if I have a match. You look at the storylines right now, and it’s insane how good they are… It’s very tough to get on a PLE now. You have to be on the top of your game. I understand more than anyone because I’ve been here for 20 years.

Miz’s documentary was released just a few days ago, shedding light on his journey full of struggles. Recently, he and his tag team partner R-Truth lost their tag titles to Judgment Day a few weeks ago on Raw. Although they vowed to regain the tag champs at SummerSlam, right now it looks challenging for them to get an opportunity at the biggest event of the summer.

The Miz was thankful for John Cena sitting down and speaking about him

John Cena was one of the stars who sat down and spoke about The Miz’s journey in his recently released A&E documentary. The A-Lister stated that it meant a lot to him to have someone like Cena talking about him. He explained what he learned from those who sat down and spoke about him in the documentary.

While talking to TV Insider, the 43-year-old praised the Doctor of Thuganomics, saying that despite being busy, he made time for the documentary. Miz also revealed that he used to take advice from the 16-time world champion about what he could’ve done better. He added that not only did Cena have an answer for all of his questions, but his answers always astonished him.

Whether it’s me asking, “What do you think about this match? What could I have done better? How do you set yourself apart from others?” not only does he have an answer, but an answer that just blows your mind. It’s cool to have him sit down and talk about me.

Big Match John made his surprising return at the Money in the Bank PLE and announced his retirement for next year. Cena stated that his complete focus right now is on next year’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber events. Unfortunately for his die-hard fans, WrestleMania 41 will be the PLE where he wrestles his final match.
