The Bills Mafia might want to touch wood before and after reading this one accomplishment Josh Allen has over Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. The Buffalo Bills quarterback has not missed a single game in the current decade, while his Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs counterparts have failed to do so.

Josh Allen, who first booted up for the Bills in 2018 against the Baltimore Ravens, has played 124 combined regular-season and postseason games for them. He has kept a streak of 114 straight games after missing the initial four games of the 2018 season due to an elbow sprain.

Despite racking up a few injuries in the 2020s, Allen has maintained attendance in all games. On the other hand, Jackson and Mahomes aren’t that fortunate. Patrick Mahomes missed one game each in 2020, 2023, and 2024.

In 2020, Chad Henne started for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers in the last game of the regular season. Mahomes kept the trend of missing the final game in 2023 and 2024 as well. In 2023, yet again against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs sent backup QB Blaine Gabbert. Although Gabbert didn’t record any touchdowns, the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 13-12.

In 2024, the Chiefs were unbeatable until the Buffalo Bills defeated them in late November. They had secured the first seed from their conference ahead of the final season game and had no qualms about losing one game. The Denver Broncos shut out the Chiefs, led by Carson Wentz, and earned their ticket to the playoffs.

On the other hand, Jackson has missed about ten games in the past five seasons. He missed a game in 2020 due to COVID. An ankle injury forced him to miss the last four games of the 2021 season. In 2022, he missed the final six games of the regular season and the Wild Card game after sustaining a posterior cruciate ligament sprain.

Josh Allen could end the still no ring comments in the upcoming season

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, despite their achievements, are not considered at the levels they should have been because of their lack of a Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills are among the twelve teams to never have won the Super Bowl despite reaching the celebrated event four times in a row in the 1990s.

The 2025 season is projected to give the Bills an edge. They are entering the season as the favorites in all seventeen games, including Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and a late game against the Cincinnati Bengals. On top of it all, these games are hosted at their home ground in front of the Bills Mafia.

According to ESPN’s David Purdum, the Bills are the only team to have that honor. The Chiefs are favorites in all their regular-season games except the one against the Bills. There are more factors helping the Bills this season. Based on Sharp Football Analysis’ Strength of Schedule Chart, the Bills have the fifth-easiest schedule. The San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Falcons lead the list ahead of the Bills.

Furthermore, the Bills have a Week 7 bye. The byes, which can be awarded as early as the fourth week or as late as the 14th week, play an important role in keeping the players fit. The seventh week is one of the most coveted spots, considering it is in the middle. The schedule has provided the newly minted Allen and the Bills to end the no-ring comments and bring a ring to the starved state of New York.
