This event has a purse prize of a whopping $25,000,000. This is the highest amount of money on any PGA Tour events, $5 million more than the signature events and the major championships.

The winner of the event takes away $4.5 million, the biggest share in PGA Tour history. From the last two years, Scottie Scheffler is the one who has bagged this huge winning cheque.

Apart from his huge share, there are 750 FedEx Cup points on the line for the winner as well. This is 50 more points than the other elevated events of the PGA Tour.

The Players Championship 2025 Round 1 and 2 tee times

Like almost every other PGA Tour event, this tournament will include a cut. That means after the round two, players who are below the cutline will not be allowed to play over the weekend.
