This week’s SmackDown featured a massive announcement regarding the future of the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Nick Aldis, Adam Pearce, and The Rock’s daughter, Ava Raine, joined forces to determine the next challengers for current champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill at Crown Jewel.

It was announced during the show backstage that the Women’s Tag Titles are going to be defended in a fatal four-way tag team match at Crown Jewel. The team of Belair and Cargill is set to take on Damage CTRL from Raw, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven from SmackDown, and Meta-Four from NXT.

This was always inevitable considering the events of the past few weeks on the three respective brands. In fact, Green & Niven and Damage CTRL have been in a quest for the Women’s Tag Titles for months. Additionally, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend would benefit from working on a bigger stage.

With the addition of this match, WWE has finally broken the five-match rule for their non-big 4 PLEs. The chances of Belair and Cargill dropping their titles at this point are quite low. However, it would definitely be interesting to see how the build of this match transpires from here on.

Chelsea Green has been really entertaining on screen lately. She has been looking to make a huge impact in WWE with a title win sooner than later, and it seems WWE has finally given her an opportunity at Crown Jewel. The Hot Mess took to X to react to this huge match, taking a dig at her opponents.

Green called herself and her partner Piper Niven to be the best out of all the contenders for the Women’s Tag Titles. The 33-year-old sent a bold statement ahead of the Fatal-4-way match next week as she tried to get under the skin of her opponents.
