Iga Swiatek has been in some red hot form for the past few months. She has been playing a dominating standard of tennis and has achieved unbelievable results. Now, she is replicating those performances at a grand slam and is on course to win her second french open title.
The polish girl won the 2020 french open at the age of 19 and surprised everyone with her performance. This time around she is going to be the experienced campaigner in the final while her opponent Coco Gauff just 18 years of age will be fighting to upset Swiatek’s run to a second french open title.
However, hasn’t set a foot wrong in the whole tournament except for the extremely entertaining set against the Chinese Qinwen Zheng. Which was the only set she has dropped throughout the tournament. Her opponents haven’t been able to match her skills and have faced defeat in straight sets.
It will be an interesting contest because her opponent Gauff hasn’t lost even a single set in the tournament. After her semi-final win, Swiatek was asked about Rafael Nadal, and she talked about how he is her idol and she always looks up to him.

Iga Swiatek was asked about her inspiration Rafael Nadal after winning her Semi-final. Nadal who himself won an extremely crucial quarter-final against the world No.1 Novak Djokovic has been playing some unbelievable tennis at the Roland Garros 2022.
Swiatek while talking about Nadal said, “OMG! He is inspiring in every aspect. Both on court and off court. He is so humble and down to earth and He is that kind of guy who is always saying ‘Hi’ and it’s amazing. It seems like the success didn’t change him and he is still the same great person.”
“And on-court you know I saw a few matches live, It wasn’t possible because I was also in tournaments. But, when I watched this years Australian Open finals OMG! he was just overwhelming. Even I had doubts, I saw how he was trying to find solutions and trying to get better during the match and he did and he won. He is an inspiration not only here but basically on every court and it’s great to watch him play” She added.
