AEW recently celebrated its five-year anniversary since the inception of the promotion. Since then, it has had its fair share of ups and downs. However, one of the major criticisms of the company has been the leadership of Tony Khan. As such, The Undertaker opined on the ‘alternative’ to WWE and how he perceives the boss as a leader.
While speaking on his Six Feet Under Q&A session, The Phenom felt that the Jacksonville-based promotion needed to do much more to compete with WWE. Moreover, he asserted that competition and having an alternative in wrestling is better for the business. Nonetheless, the legend went on to critique the locker room leadership in AEW.

Hopefully one day, I mean a lot of people don’t think the way I do, but one day, AEW gets their cr*p together and genuinely creates some competition. The Undertaker on AEW (via Six Feet Under Q&A session)
Although The Undertaker believes that Khan’s ambitions are in the right direction, he doesn’t think that the owner is the right person to lead the promotion. The Deadman added that the billionaire lacks the decision-making skills to compete head-to-head with WWE. Having said that, the Hall of Famer did claim that he may be wrong but truly wishes to see AEW improve in the coming years.
I just don’t know if he has the [ability to make good judgments and swift decision making] to run a wrestling company against the juggernaut that is the WWE.The Undertaker on Tony Khan (via Six Feet Under Q&A session)
This isn’t the first time that Tony Khan has received criticism for his leadership. Back in April, CM Punk tore into the president’s indecisiveness during the infamous All Out and All In brawls. Similar to Taker, The Second City Saint stated that Khan was a good person but wasn’t fit enough to be the leader of a wrestling promotion.
Gunther breaks silence on The Undertaker heaping praise on his work
After venturing into the podcast world, The Undertaker has expressed his thoughts on the ongoings of wrestling. As such, he’s praised Gunther for his in-ring work in WWE on multiple occasions. Taking that into account, The Ring General recently responded to the praise.

While speaking with WhittyWhittier, the record-breaking champion said that he was delighted to hear a legend like Taker speak fondly about him. He further revealed that he converses with The Deadman whenever they meet during WrestleMania or other major events.

Gunther went on to claim that his in-ring style is quite similar to that of the legend’s. The Austrian-born wrestler continued to impress on the main roster at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. After an enthralling encounter against Randy Orton in the finals, he became King of the Ring and will challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam.
