Gunther has made a huge mark on the wrestling world in a very short time. He has been highly appreciated by fans and wrestlers alike for his in-ring skills and character work. Another person who has been highly impressed by the Ring General is WWE legend The Undertaker and even his son.

On his Six Feet Under podcast, The Deadman claimed that Gunther was his guy. The wrestling legend said that he recently had a conversation with his son, Colt, who was completely fascinated by The Austrian. The 36-year-old had a conversation with his son out of the blue. The two simply sat there and talked.

However, that is not why The Phenom claimed The King of the Ring to be his guy. He was his guy because the Raw superstar knows how to work and tell a story, which the 59-year-old greatly appreciated. Thus, he was really high on the former Intercontinental Champion.

My little boy is fascinated by him. Colt is fascinated by him. They had a conversation out of the clear blue and he sat there and just talked to him. That’s not why he’s my guy. He’s my guy because he knows how to work and tell a story. I’m real high on him

Gunther has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the past twelve months alone. He became the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion ever, holding it for 666 days. Further, he recently became the latest King of the Ring and is on track to become a World Champion at SummerSlam 2024. He is also regarded as one of the best in-ring workers in WWE at the moment.

The Undertaker recalls his disastrous match with Goldberg

In the latest episode of his show, The Undertaker also talks about the disastrous match he had with Goldberg at Super Showdown 2019. The match had various scary moments. Not only did the former WCW star hit his dead on the turnbuckle, but he also hit The Demon of Death Valley with a botched Jackhammer that may have broken his neck.

Although The Undertaker has mentioned that his heart wants to get back in the ring, he stops himself by recalling such moments in his career. He acknowledged that both superstars were perhaps past their prime when the match took place. It was unwise to push him and Goldberg for more.

This was the last time the former WWE Champion competed at an overseas event. Further, he soon had his retirement match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 the following year. Since then, the wrestling legend booked his rightful place in the Hall of Fame and has been spending time with his family.
