WrestleMania XL was a magical time for wrestling fans and performers. Fans got to see many familiar faces return to the WWE, such as The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker. However, the most significant part of the night was Cody Rhodes finally finishing the story, which was a highly emotional moment for the WWE Universe and the wrestlers.
The Undertaker recently discussed a voicemail he received from the newly crowned WWE Universal Champion on his Six Feet Under podcast. The 59-year-old recalled that it must have been 3:49 AM by the time he received that message. He believed that Cody Rhodes was out having a good time that night, which he deserved as he had come full circle.
The Deadman added that he didn’t get to see the WWE Champion become the sports entertainer that he is. As per the legend, the 38-year-old is the perfect example of being motivated and not being content with where one is. Undertaker claimed that many wrestlers walk into the WWE before they are ready. Thus, they end up leaving the company unhappily.
He sent me a voicemail the night he won the title. It was 3:49 AM, I think. I made out about half of it. I believe he was having a good time that night. Well deserved. He has come full circle.

While The Undertaker was not certain, he believed that The American Nightmare left the company the same way. However, Rhodes was able to figure things out on all sides, whether it be the marketing aspect, the business aspect, or connecting with the audience. After all, the WWE Champion is not even close to the same person he was when he left.
