The Usos Deliver a Shocking Title Change on the Final Raw of 2025
The Usos are now 9-time WWE tag team champions, with their latest title-winning display coming against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.

The Usos ended their 2025 on an absolute high. Last night on Raw in Orlando, the former Bloodline members ousted AJ Styles and Dragon Lee to become the new world tag team champions. With that win, the twin brothers have earned the distinction of being 9-time tag team champs in WWE. Usos’ triumph snapped the title reign of Styles and Lee at the 70-day mark.
There came a point in the match when Jey Uso did the unthinkable by kicking out of the Styles Clash. The ending saw Styles running into a stereo superkick from The Usos, where Jimmy and Jey connected right on the button when ‘The Phenomenal One’ went for the Phenomenal Forearm. Styles’ partner, Lee, also suffered the same fate and ultimately succumbed to a picture-perfect 1-D from The Usos.

And just like that, new champions were crowned. The arena came unglued as soon as ‘The Yeet Master’ got the pinfall on Lee. Jimmy and Jey took the tag team titles and decided to celebrate their watershed moment with the fans. Having recently gotten back on the same page, and in the tag team division, to be precise, it didn’t take long for the Anoa’i family wrestlers to put some gold around their waists.
Three weeks ago on Raw, ‘Big Jim’ explained how he convinced his younger twin to reunite after going through months of turmoil. The older Uso reminded Jey about the fact that the previous months haven’t been up to the mark for them, neither as a duo nor as individuals.
The longest-reigning WWE tag team champs ultimately realized that they’re better off together than staying in their respective lanes. And if last night’s result on Raw isn’t an indicator of Jimmy and Jey at their best working in tandem, what else is?
Matt Hardy calls for a generational dream match involving The Usos and The New Day
Now that The Usos are at the top of the tag team division once again, one could dream about the potential matchups that could be a part and parcel of their reign. In what could be a little foreshadowing of things to come, Matt Hardy, who’s one-half of the current TNA tag team champions alongside his brother Jeff Hardy, took to X and congratulated The Usos for their title-winning performance on this week’s Raw.

‘The Sensei of Mattitude’ further called for a generational dream match at WrestleMania featuring the Usos, the Hardys, and the New Day. Now that’s some fantasy booking. Isn’t it? However, the best part about it is that the said triple-threat showdown isn’t out of the realm of a real possibility.
Congrats, @WWEUsos! Well deserved win as you guys absolutely killed it.

Maybe at @WrestleMania, it’s time for The Usos vs The New Day vs The Hardy Boyz in a generational dream match. https://t.co/jXjQOBXiPM
As is known, there’s an existing working partnership between TNA and WWE, which has seen a number of stars from both companies doing the crossovers. WWE gave a special shoutout to The Hardy Boyz at SummerSlam 2025 with both Matt and Jeff in attendance.
Team Extreme hasn’t competed on a main roster WWE PLE since 2018, and who knows? WrestleMania 42 could end up becoming their first one in almost 8 years. It’d be interesting to see if WWE goes down this route of having the Hardys, the Usos, and the New Day involved in the tag team title picture heading into its biggest show of the year in Las Vegas.
The company could also use Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater in the mix after their impressive display at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In fact, on this week’s Raw, AJ Styles told Evans in a backstage segment that he’d like to run it back with him and Slater. But with Styles and Dragon Lee no longer the tag team champs, it does seem unlikely, at least in the moment.
