Ben Askren calls Jake Paul an idiot

Ben Askren is going to get a huge bag of money and clout on April 17 as he takes on the YouTube star, Jake Paul. The former ONE Championship and Bellator champion is still perplexed trying to figure out how Jake Paul has such a massive following. In other words, the fighter is convinced Jake has no talents.

The two are set to clash at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, headlining a pay-per-view that will cost $49.99. Ben Askren spoke to MMA Junkie radio talking about his opponent Jake Paul. We all know that Askren is in it for the money, Ben sheds light on that topic.

Ben Askren was perplexed as to why Jake Paul and his brother matter so much in the first place. “I’m yet to get an answer that I’m fully satisfied with,” Askren told MMA Junkie Radio. “I don’t really get it.”

But Askren’s trashing doesn’t take away the fact that Jake and his brother are worth millions. Jake has 20.3 million subscriptions on YouTube with 14.7 million Instagram followers. The Hype Is Real.

In the interview, Ben Askren spoke about why he feels there is no reason that someone would like the two brothers. “I don’t think there’s any good answer,” Askren said.  “They’re all like, ‘He does a lot of dumb things.’ Or, ‘He says crazy stuff.’ But it’s like, OK. So? So what? There’s nothing that … I don’t know.”

 “People who I liked growing up: Chris Farley, I think he’s hilarious; Chris Rock, I think he’s hilarious; Muhammad Ali, I’m inspired by this man. People who I liked, I could name a reason why I liked that person. And with these guys (the Paul brothers), that just doesn’t seem to be the case.”

Ben ended the interview by trolling Jake Paul and calling him stupid. “Jake Paul’s gonna be an idiot before me, he’s gonna be an idiot after me,” Askren said. “This guy’s an idiot. That’s what he does. What kind of lesson? He’s too stupid to learn anything.”
