World Cup winner Thomas Muller celebrated the Olympic gold medal with equestrian Christian Kukuk and not just as a fan but as a part of the entire madness itself. Rider Kukuk bagged the ace in equestrian individual jumping event at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.

Elated by what he saw in the center, Thomas Muller, who co-owns Kukuk’s horse Checker 47, took to Instagram and expressed his happiness, posting a congratulatory video for Kukuk, captioning it, “It’s golden – we are Olympic winners!” With the iconic Chateau de Versailles looking on, Germany’s Kukuk and his horse Checker 47 went past the flying likes of Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat accompanied by Dynamix de Belheme who bagged silver while it was Netherlands’ Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville who clinched bronze.

Hats off to what you have done with Checker in the last year and a half. I am so excited. Let yourself go and celebrate now.
Thomas Muller said on the video that he posted on Instagram

The German football legend has always had a love for horses as he formerly claimed that his wife Lisa was the one who made him fall in love with the friendly four-legged speed machines. He also expressed that horses are very friendly creatures who can be your partner emitting their strength and elegance.

Here’s what may be imminent for Thomas Muller

Thomas Muller was a part of the recently concluded Germany football team that participated at the Euro 2024. Coming in as contenders, they started the group stages well enough with two wins from the group stages while drawing another. Sadly enough their journey came to an end in the quarter-final with a defeat against the eventual champions, Spain.

Muller was thrown into the mix in the 80th minute, when he replaced Jonathan Tah in a bid to try and bolster the attacking forces of Germany. Things did change for the Germans when Florian Wirtz managed to find the back of the net with a minute to go for the regulation time. Despite all the huff and puff, Spain went onto win the game with a last-gasp winner from Mikel Merino, crashing Germany of the tournament.

Muller will presumably be back in action in London on Saturday as Bayern Munich will be playing their penultimate pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur. The Bavarians will be opening their account in the latest edition of the Bundesliga campaign with an away fixture against Wolfsburg on August 25th.
