What did Thomas Tuchel in the post match?
In the second half, Chelsea came out all gun blazing, trying to out do Manchester City. Rodri’s lax helped Chelsea to equalise as Hakim Ziyech found the back of the net after the hour mark. The ruthless Chelsea were trying for a winner and a goal in the final ten was ruled out for offside. However, the goal in injury time by Marcos Alonso helped Chelsea to settle the fixture. Thomas Tuchel was happy about Chelsea’ performances and lauded them. He also seemed confident to win the title with this side.
What a performance in the second half. The win gives us confidence but, as I have said before, this result will not change the [Champions League] final. You need to be well prepared, we will have some changes again, they will have some changes again, but we will arrive with the knowledge we are capable of beating City. This is what we have now, and this will not change until Istanbul
Chelsea are looking strong to finish in the top-flight with games coming thick and fast in the league before the Champions League finals. It remains interesting to see if they can win the CL title as well against the same opposition.
