Thomas Tuchel urges Chelsea players to be ready

Football and especially football in the UEFA Champions League is a funny business. Anything can happen and there’s no certainty about anything. Chelsea were clear underdogs going into this match and people while ignorantly gave them no chance.

Well that has come back to bite them back hard with the blues shutting down a lot of people. However manager Thomas Tuchel has urged his side to not get lazy after their brilliant performance in the first leg for they will be welcoming back Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge.

But before they do that there’s an extremely tough run of games ahead of them in the Premier League with Leeds United, Manchester United and Everton all together. Moreover they will be missing the likes of Mason Mount and Jorginho to make things difficult.

“Don’t forget Jorginho, we will miss two crucial players [in the second leg], it makes things not easy for us,” he said at Arena Nationala. “I am very happy with the performance of everybody, that includes Mason of course.
“Again, a good effort, a big effort, high work rate, high intensity like we are used to when he plays like this. He has a big impact on our team. Honestly, we now play Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool and Leeds, it is good like this.
