Three times rise in prize money of National Awards

Under the first tenure of leadership of PM Modi, a small increase was given to the prize money of National Sports Awards.

But now, during the second part of his tenure an immense increase in the prize money is planned by the Ministry of Sports

One of most eminent and highest sports award’s prize money will now be increase not by just 10 or 20 % but with a total amount of 70%.

This states that earlier, the Khel Ratna Awardee used to get 7.5 lakhs of prize money will now get 25 lakhs. Minister of Youth Affairs nd Sports will soon announce it officially.

Prize money for Arjuna Award will rise upto 3 times

Athletes complained many times regarding the prize money for National Awards, adter understanding their concerns the Ministry took a step towards it and triple the prize money, that 5 lakhs earlier is now 15 lakhs.

15 lakhs for Dhyan Chand, Lifetime Dronacharya Award

Not only this Arjuna Award and Khel Ratna but prize money for Dhyan Chand and Lifetime Dronacharya is also increased.

Now, Lifetime Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand Awardee will also get 15 lakhs instead of 5.

Although till now, money for regular Dronacharya and Lifetime Dronacharya was same but now prize money for regular Dronacharya will be from 5 to 10 lakhs.
