Tiger Woods is back on the cover of a video game. On Monday, the PGA TOUR 2K franchise announced that the 15-time major champion will grace the cover of the Legend Edition of the upcoming PGA TOUR 2K25 video game.

This is not the first time where Woods has been on the cover of a PGA TOUR 2K game. He was featured on the cover of the previous edition – PGA TOUR 2K23 as well.

Previously, Woods was the face of the long-running golf video game series developed by Electronic Arts (EA). The series branded as “Tiger Woods PGA TOUR” saw Woods as the cover star of the game from 1999 to 2013.

This game will be the third edition under the brand name of PGA TOUR 2K after PGA TOUR 2K21 (released in 2020) and PGA TOUR 2K23 (released in 2022). A release date for the game though has not been announced yet. However, more details regarding the game will be revealed on Tuesday.

Apart from Woods, Max Homa and Matt Fitzpatrick are also on the cover of the video game. The announcement of Homa and Fitzpatrick was made a while later after the franchise announced Woods as the cover star.

Golf great Tiger Woods has amazed a huge fan following through his performances over the years. Though he does not play as often as he did before, fans are always eager to see him. With him being named as the cover athlete for the PGA TOUR 2K25 video game, fans on social media have gone wild.

As soon as the news broke out on X, fans were left excited. Several of them seemed pleased with the decision of the franchise to name Woods as the cover athlete.

While an official release date is yet to be revealed, fans are eager to get their hands on this game. One fan wrote, “Take my money now” while reacting to this development.

Speaking of the game, the PGA TOUR 2K franchise allows players to build their own characters or compete as PGA Tour and LPGA Tour professionals. Apart from that, the game also allows them to create their own courses and features online multiplayer mode and tour career mode.
