15-time major champion Tiger Woods will be playing golf this week. However, it will not be at the Arnold Palmer Invitational event. The golfer has committed himself to playing in the Seminole Pro-Member and will tee off in his private tournament.
Woods has been out of singles competitive golf action since the Open Championship in July last year. He would undergo another back surgery and did not feature in the Hero World Challenge which he serves as the host.
The 49-year-old did feature in the PNC Championship along with son Charlie Woods and fell short in the playoff round against Bernhard Langer and his son Jason. Following this, Woods took part in his TGL league and was supposed to make his first start of the year at the Genesis Invitational.
However, with the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, the former World No.1 withdrew from the event. He did join the event on the final day as he serves as the host to this event as well and claimed that he will be playing in some bigger events this year.
One of the big events this year will take place this week at the Bay Hill in the form of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Woods, an 8-time winner of this event, will not be competing in this tournament. He opted out of this event and will instead tee off in the Seminole Pro-Member alongside some big names of golf and other sports.

The Seminole Pro-Member is an invitational-only private tournament that is held every year at the Seminole Golf Club in Florida. Last year, Woods did compete in this event. This year, he will be joined by stars like Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Tom Brady.
