The Tennessee Titans got off to a solid start against the New York Jets after Calvin Ridley made it to the endzone on a 10-yard run. Shortly after, they got back on offense in the second quarter. The Titans were right on track to score their second touchdown of the night until Will Levis happened.
The quarterback went rogue on a play, there does not seem to be a better way to put it across. His mistake resulted in his coach going “What the F***” on the sidelines. On the 3rd & goal play, the Jets’ defensive line did a great job pushing the Titans’ O-line back. As Levis sensed the pocket collapsing, he panicked and attempted to scramble to his left hoping to get a better look down the field.
But defensive lineman Will McDonald wound up in his way. He was pushed by Tony Pollard who attempted to block him as he ran to the left. Will Levis jumped through a small gap between his O-line and McDonald’s and while he was in the air, remembered that ‘athletic’ was not an adjective that can be associated with his style of play.

Will Levis’ turnover resulted in the New York Jets scoring their first touchdown of the game
The quarterback tripped on his way to jump and fell flat on the field. In a desperate attempt to complete the play, Will Levis saw running back Tyjae Spears in the backfield and attempted to throw the ball to him. But his pass was too low and had the Jets’ defensive backs not been right there to pounce on him, he probably would have made that catch.
But Spears, who has been one of Levis’s go-to targets lost his balance while attempting to make the catch. When both the defenders pounced on him, he fell and as a result was unable to make the catch. Jets’ Brandin Echols was right there and scooped the ball up thereby giving them the possession.

Head coach Brian Callahan was furious at Will Levis and the quarterback was visibly upset as he walked off the field. Callahan paced up along the sidelines with both his arms wide, before hurling the expletive-laden sentence. Levis should have protected the ball or thrown it out of bounds. He decided to improvise and that cost his team the opportunity to score.
