Tobias Harris leads Philadelphia 76ers to 6th straight victory after win against New York Knicks

With Philadelphia 76ers’ marquee player, Joel Embiid out due to bone bruise in his left knee, it was vitally important for someone to step up to lead and inspire the 76ers to win games. Tobias Harris has been one player who is now coming into the spotlight, showing his significant efforts. In the 76ers latest game against the New York Knicks, Harris scored 30 points to ensure 76ers win their 6th straight game.

It wasn’t only Tobias Harris but also Seth Curry, who scored 20 points. Ben Simmons scored a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Talking about who led the scoring charts for New York Knicks, RJ Barrett and Julius Randle took the initiative scoring 17 and 19 points respectively. Randle added a double-double against his name with 16 rebounds as well.

The Sixers reserves rallied them in the fourth. Matisse Thybulle and Furkan Korkmaz buried consecutive 3s that brought the Sixers within four and they stayed on the court when Simmons and Harris checked back into the game. Dwight Howard kept it a four-point game on a clean block on Randle’s drive, no restraint needed and Simmons scored consecutive baskets that made it 89-87. Seth Curry gave the Sixers a 90-89 lead when he buried a 3 with 5:01 left.

Randle had to be held back by Knicks’s teammates after the buzzer following a call that went against him in the final seconds of a loss a night earlier to Brooklyn. The All-Star forward was furious when he was whistled for a travel and the play was not reviewed. Randle’s first season in New York has otherwise been fantastic.
