Herculean task awaits PV Sindhu

While Sindhu had a good start to the first set, the Danish mounted a comeback with scores reading 16-15 at a point. It was Sindhu’s experience that saw her take the game without losing a point thereof. The second set saw the Indian rush to a five-point lead right at with Blichfeldt left playing catch up.
Up next, Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi will be going toe to toe with Sindhu in the quarters followed by World number 1 Tai Tzu-Ying in the semis. Sindhu will have to give it her all if she is to replicate her Rio success.
