Canada Basketball

Watch Canada vs South Korea predictions as both team clash at their upcoming fixtures. Canada and South Korea face off on Wednesday night in a women’s basketball Olympic showdown. This is a group A showdown with both teams desperate for a win. Canada gave Serbia quite the scare in their opening round of the Olympics, but it still counts as a loss, and now their backs are really against the wall. Canada did show some strong flashes of being a team that can come out of this group. They are one team to look out for as well.

On the other side of this matchup is South Korea who also were competitive in their first game of the Olympics against Spain, but they couldn’t pull it out late as they were defeated 73-69. While both the teams look for a win, South Korea are really a tough team in the group.

Canada did show some strong flashes of being a team that can come out of this group. In the third quarter of the last game, Canada only gave up nine points in the third quarter, Kia Nurse was the best starter in the first game putting up 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Nirra Fields also had a big game off the bench for Canada putting up 19 points, four steals, and three assists. In this game for Canada it’s going to be about others outside those two top players stepping up, and try to find the offensive success.

South Korea was outscored 19-16 in the 4th quarter and that was the difference as they were defeated. Kang Leeseul was the best player for South Korea finishing with 26 points and seven rebounds. One big issue for South Korea was the play of their bench. The bench only combined for five points total, and going forward, they are going to need a lot more production from that part of the team.

Canada is the better team in this matchup, but South Korea shouldn’t be this big of underdogs. I expect some of the players on the bench for South Korea will have success, and South Korea will cover this spread. In terms of the total, Canada have a good edge over the other team but South Korea cannot be taken lightly. Watch the Canada vs South Korea predictions and take your pick.
