Tokyo Olympics: Men’s Beach Volleyball Italy vs Switzerland Live Stream, Preview and Prediction

In what can be called as a virtually knockout game, the Carambula-Rossi pair from Italy will take on Heidrich and Gerson from Switzerland in the last round men’s preliminary Pool C beach volleyball match at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Italy vs Switzerland Match Preview

Bith the teams find themselves in deep waters as none of them have won their any of the previous two matches. The other two teams in their group, USA and Qatar, have looked head and shoulders above them.

While Italy lost with the identical scoreline of 2-0 against USA (18-21, 19-21) as well as Qatar (22-24, 13-21), Switzerland too didn’t fare any better and lost with the same scoreline 2-0 against the Americans (19-21, 21-23) and the Qataris (17-21, 16-21).

Italy vs Switzerland Match Prediction

Both teams haven’t shown anything significant in their play, which makes the prediction a tad difficult. It is also important to remember that a loss here for either of the team will knock that team out of the competition, while the winner would further proceed as a ‘lucky loser’. Given that Switzerland was so close to win it’s last match against USA and with some basic gut feeling, the Swiss should beat Italy 2-1, but by the barest of the margin and eventually qualify as a ‘lucky loser’.
