With the NFL playoffs heading into the conference championship games, Tom Brady was assigned to cover the NFC side, with the Seattle Seahawks welcoming the Los Angeles Rams.
It was not a preemptive decision to not feature him in the broadcast booth when his former team, the New England Patriots, were playing the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game. Rather, these decisions are taken well in advance, which means that the seven-time Super Bowl champion had to be at his best when covering what could potentially be a shootout.
Even Tom Brady knew how big this game was, as two of the best offensive minds were going to collide, potentially setting up a thrilling game that would decide the fate of their Super Bowl goals. Keeping that in mind, the 48-year-old took to social to express himself.
Big game, Big watch.

This was the 15-time Pro Bowler’s story on his feed, which caught the attention of many fans. That is because it shows Brady literally flexing his watch, a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce, with a white gold diamond sapphire dial.

The reason this piqued everyone’s interest is primarily its price. With prices around $653,000, it was a major flex, even for someone who earns $37.5 million a year from FOX Sports to analyze games.
Truth is that Brady earns a lot more than the league-high paycheck for an analyst, as his investments and other endorsements net him far more than that.
Tom Brady will be at Super Bowl LX to watch his former team
As the game progressed, there was no clear winner in sight as both the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams traded blows. With the score still standing at 31-27 to the former, FOX’s broadcast shifted to Tom Brady and his colleague, Kevin Burkhardt.
The former quarterback started off by saying how he was happy that his former teammate and current head coach of the New England Patriots, Mike Vrabel, had turned their team around after two losing seasons.
Brady then was visibly happy, expressing how impressed he was with the Patriots winning the AFC Championship game on the road against the Denver Broncos. After praising former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, the FOX analyst said this:
This is going to be hell of a Super Bowl matchup. Whoever wins this, to get the Patriots. I’m going to be there in San Francisco watching in my hometown.

How fitting. Brady and the Pats at the Super Bowl once again. New era. Same stuff. 🏆 pic.twitter.com/lfPyYCI6F1
Little did Tom Brady know at the time that the NFC Championship game’s score would stand, which meant the Seattle Seahawks would be the ones to play against his Patriots in Super Bowl LX.
Off duty Tom Brady will probably root for his Patriots
When Tom Brady watches on from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, San Francisco, he will probably meet a lot of people and will be interacting with them.

He will be off duty, as NBC’s Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth will be leading the broadcast. That means Brady will be left to watch every snap as a football guy, as well as a fan of the New England Patriots.
It will be ironic as the last time these two teams met in a Super Bowl, Tom Brady was the one leading the Patriots. This might be a new era, but owing to his loyalty to the franchise, everyone who meets the father of three will know that he is rooting for his team.
After all, he is the reason that franchise has the most Super Bowls of any franchise in the league. Now, he will be rooting for his former teammate to continue adding to that trophy case at Gillette Stadium.
