Tom Brady breaks down how difficult it will be for Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs to accomplish the historic ‘three-peat’

The footballing world knows that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to three-peat. By winning the Super Bowl for the third consecutive time, they will write their names in history as the only team to ever do it. However, the GOAT, Tom Brady talked about how difficult it would be for the Chiefs to win it three-times in a row.

Brady was a guest on the show The Herd, where host Colin Cowherd asked him what he thought of the chances of the Chiefs making a play at a third consecutive Super Bowl.

To win a Super Bowl is extremely challenging as we know. All these teams in the NFL are competitive, they are all well coached. The margin of error is razor-thin, so to win one Super Bowl is extremely difficult. To win two back-to-back like the Chiefs have done, nearly impossible. To win 3 in a row, there's a reason why no one's done it. Those players are going to have to show up every day and put the work in like they have. Fortunately, they have a tremendous coach in Andy Reid, who doesn’t ever look backward. They have a lot of great pieces, but to win it all again is a momentous task.

Brady essentially said that it is a nearly impossible task. Something that has not been done due to the difficulty of it.

Tom Brady is one of the rare back-to-back Super Bowl winners. Having himself done it once out of his 7 times, he knows better than most how hard it is to repeat as champions. Let alone try for a third time.

Therefore, even if the Kansas City Chiefs have everything at their disposal to attempt the three-peat, they will have to put in the work. He did however mention that having Andy Reid as their head coach could be the driving point.

As Tom Brady said, head coach Andy Reid is one of those rare coaches who does not look backward. That itself is huge when it comes to motivating a group of players who need motivation as they seek another Super Bowl. The biggest problem is avoiding a hangover. For that, the Kansas City Chiefs have been clever.

They have extended those players who are the core of the team, ones who Reid will not have a problem motivating. However, the rest of the squad has seen some major movements. New players want to win. Which can rub off on those who are already there. Pushing them to do their best and in turn could help them win it all.

Patrick Mahomes has a handful of offensive weapons at his disposal this coming season. Although a Super Bowl is a difficult task, on paper it will be easier than last year.
