When Tom Brady agreed to the Netflix roast dedicated to him, he didn’t realize the number of jokes that could be made about his personal life, especially his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen. Turns out the number was a lot, and given the NFL legend didn’t put her off the roast list, she was deeply disheartened. 

Though the Sunday roast was a huge success, Brady received tons of criticism for allowing the brutal jokes at his ex-wife’s expense. The Brazilian model also expressed her disappointment saying it re-opened her old scars from her divorce with the seven-time Super Bowl champion. This compelled Brady to apologize to Bundchen, given the two are co-parents and a rift would directly impact their two children.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, the former NFL quarterback shared a photo series on his Instagram, including pictures of his mother Galynn, his children, his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan with whom he shares a 15-year-old son and a picture of Bundchen.

Over the past two months, Brady and Bundchen have been in many headlines. Whether it’s about her new relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Brady accusing her of cheating, or the roast brutality– the former couple have had an unspoken rift for quite some time now. 

Gisele Bündchen faces criticism from Tom Brady’s inner circle

Unfortunately for Brady, who is trying to make amends with his former wife, his circle seems to be jeopardizing his efforts. After the former Victoria’s Secret model’s disappointment about the Netflix roast made the headlines, Page Six reached out to people close to Brady for their thoughts about Bundchen’s hurt feelings. 

One person within Brady’s circle gave an unfiltered response saying Bundchen should suck it up and learn to take a joke. He asserted the Brazilian model needs to have a “sense of humor” as everything said was fun.

He also targeted her new relationship with Joaquim Valente stating that if she wants to keep it private, and “shouldn’t have been making out” on the streets. He defended the NFL legend, saying he wasn’t aware of any of the jokes targeted at her.
