Many elite athletes aspire to become owners of sports franchises after they retire. It often is not just about the money, as the team has to gain something from the said player wanting to be a part owner.
But when the name Tom Brady comes to mind, it will be hard to imagine any current franchise owner who would want to let go of that chance. No wonder Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis was excited.
After Brady’s FOX broadcasting deal, many thought he might not be able to realize his dream of owning an NFL franchise. But now that dream has come true after he was announced as a minority stakeholder in the Las Vegas Raiders. When Mark Davis was asked about this, he had some jokes ready.
Jokes aside, he stated that the organization has yet to decide Brady’s role. Davis expects the GOAT to leverage his greatest strengths.
"We traded Davante Adams for Tom Brady. Although Tom can't play, he can help us select a QB in the future."

That is to help in selecting the next quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders. The team has struggled so far this season due to many reasons. But inadequate quarterback play has become the prime reason. They have shuffled between Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell with not much success.
Tom Brady becomes a 5% owner in the Las Vegas Raiders. Along with that, if he can bring his knowledge of the game, it can do wonders for the organization.
Tom Brady thanks Mark Davis for helping him become Raiders’ part-owner
As soon as news broke of the ownership change, Tom Brady came out with an official statement. As released on his official X account, it read;
The Las Vegas Raiders were previously in Oakland, California, not far from where Brady grew up. This ownership means he gets a piece of his hometown team.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner was quick to acknowledge Mark Davis’ work behind the scenes to get this ownership approval done. As earlier, there were some inhibitions among many as to some biases creeping in when Brady dons the broadcaster’s hat.
But with restrictions outlining what he cannot talk about, he can now proceed to become an invested owner. Brady will now look to help the Raiders develop into a competitive team. If they do, it will only add to his Super Bowl winning legacy.
