Ever since Sophie Cunningham started her podcast, she has made some interesting observations about several topics. In the latest episode of Show Me Something, she and co-host West Wilson discussed NFL great Tom Brady.
The discussion came about after People Magazine’s Bailey Richards revealed that the 7-time Super Bowl champion had cloned his dog, Lua, before it passed away in 2023.
His current dog, Junie, is Lua’s clone, and Brady managed to do that in collaboration with Colossal Biosciences, a biotech company in which he is an investor.
The company is best known for producing three dire wolf pups, a species that went extinct thousands of years ago. In that experiment, they modified existing gray wolf DNA.
Junie was directly cloned from Lua’s DNA, as the company had extracted the latter’s blood before it passed away. When talking about this on their podcast, Sophie Cunningham said this.
That’s really weird… I don’t have a problem with him, but he does some weird s**t. This is why rich people do weird s**t, because they have f**k you money, and they just find ways to do weird s**t.

The Indiana Fever star reiterated that she likes Tom Brady for who he is as a football player, but decisions such as this have made her feel weird. Cunningham asked if this was the start, would Brady’s company start cloning human beings down the line?
Sophie Cunningham sparked dating rumors with Michael Porter Jr.
Sophie Cunningham ended her season earlier than expected when she tore her ACL. After that, she has mostly stayed in Indianapolis, working out with the Indiana Fever medical staff.
In the midst of this, the NBA season was on, and the 29-year-old decided to catch a Pacers game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Brooklyn Nets were playing, and Cunningham sat beside Tyrese Haliburton‘s girlfriend, Jade Jones.
After the game, an Instagram reel from Nets star Michael Porter Jr. started doing the rounds, and some believed the two were dating. It was the Fever guard’s posture as she stood for the photo alongside the NBA champion that gave fuel to those rumors.
However, while tagging Cunningham, MPJ wrote 573, which is the area code for Missouri. It so happens that both the basketball stars played for the Missouri Tigers before turning pro.

The NBA star played one season in college. Therefore, they must have crossed paths as both were part of the same program. When this came to light, those rumors stopped dead in their tracks.
Sophie Cunningham has been busy this offseason
Unlike some of her peers, Sophie Cunningham will not be playing in the Unrivaled league. Her injury complicates her timeline, as she has to be healthy before the start of next season.

In the midst of the offseason, the Missouri native, just like most of her colleagues, is keeping tabs on the CBA developments. The outcome of the next deal will decide how much she will earn in her next contract.
Cunningham, meanwhile, has appeared on Good Morning America and was at a NASCAR race in Phoenix alongside Sydney Sweeney. Other than that, she was busy with the Pacers organization as they continued their annual tradition of handing out food.
“This is what we’re here for. We’re here for you.”❣️

Last season, it was Caitlin Clark‘s turn alongside Tyrese Haliburton. This time, the organization decided to bring in the three injured players receiving treatment at their facilities.
The 6′ 1″ star will next join Clark at The Annika Pro Am golf tournament as one of the celebrity caddies to help her Fever teammate, as well as Nelly Korda and others.
