Whenever conversations about some of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game come up, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning are generally mentioned.
They have combined for 10 Super Bowls and hold most of the individual accolades. They all have mutual respect for each other, but also do not leave chances to troll one another subtly.
As arguably one of the greatest to ever throw a pass, Brady was FOX Sports’ major signing once he was done with his playing career. They decided to break the bank and offered him a 10-year, $375 million deal.
That has become the benchmark, but no one expects another to come close to those figures, let alone try to beat them. The 7-time Super Bowl winner did have a shaky and somewhat ‘boring’ start to his life as a sports broadcaster, but he has improved.
Now, he uses his natural sarcasm both while commentating on games or inside the studio. Tom Brady had another up his sleeve when he reacted to the news of Drew Brees’ latest broadcast deal.
And just like that, I become the 3rd most accurate QB at FOX Sports (tearful emoticon). (Terry still has both of us beat) Welcome to the family, Drew Brees!!!!

Welcome to the family @drewbrees!!!! https://t.co/ABOLd6WLle
Through his subtle troll, the 48-year-old acknowledged that Brees was a much more accurate quarterback than he ever was. Now, along with Terry Bradshaw, FOX Sports has 3 of the best QBs to ever play football on its roster.
Drew Brees to follow Tom Brady’s lead as gameday analyst
Usually, whenever former players take up roles on television, it is as analysts. They typically appear at the respective network’s studio, or occasionally, live at games.

FOX Sports’ logic to make Tom Brady a gameday analyst was to tap into his incomparable experience. The likes of Troy Aikman and Tony Romo do the same for ESPN and CBS Sports, respectively, and the former Patriots QB’s signing essentially trumped them all.
Now, they have done the same with Drew Brees, assigning him to their second live coverage team alongside play-by-play commentator Adam Amin and sideline reporter Kristina Pink.
The former New Orleans Saints signal caller’s first assignment will be in the broadcast booth, assisting as a gameday analyst starting from Week 11, the network announced.
This means the Super Bowl XLIV champion QB replaces former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who has been embroiled in a controversy.
FOX Sports fires Mark Sanchez after stabbing incident
To facilitate Drew Brees‘ hiring, FOX Sports had to give him Mark Sanchez’s former broadcast booth chair. As per TMZ, the network has decided to fire Sanchez as his Indianapolis stabbing incident has made the situation tricky.
Initially, the football world felt it was Sanchez who was the victim after the former fifth overall pick was seen with stabbing wounds. Eventually, police realized it was the former quarterback who was the offender.
The victim claimed that Sanchez instigated the incident by climbing into his work truck and landing blows, injuries of which were evident from the released images.
The driver had also filed a lawsuit against the 38-year-old and FOX Sports for employing people with violent tendencies. If convicted, Sanchez could spend years behind bars.

TMZ was made aware that the network gave him the pink slip and only mentioned that they had relieved him of his duties, without stating the reasons behind their decision.
