After writing his name into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame inductees list on Wednesday, Tom Brady spoke about his journey with the franchise. The retired quarterback thanked the coaches, former teammates, and the staff for being part of his career.
Brady arrived in Boston to attend the special Hall of Fame induction event in his honor. Later, he spoke with NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on The Insiders. Pelissero asked Brady about how it felt to be back at the place where he spent two decades of his life.
They gave me a lot. I was here for 20 years and there were just incredible moments.Tom Brady said
Last year, during the opening game of the season at Foxborough, Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced that they would not delay making Tom Brady the 34th name in the franchise’s Hall of Fame list. The Boston Globe revealed that Kraft made arrangements similar to Larry Bird’s induction into the Boston Celtics’ HOF.
The event kicked off with Jay-Z’s greatest hits. A bunch of Brady’s former teammates, including Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski, were in attendance alongside special guest Peyton Manning.
I saw a bunch of teammates last night… got to celebrate, gave them all hugs, and told them what they meant to me.Tom Brady added
The 46-year-old disclosed that they had also planned a post-celebration party on Thursday night.

Tom Brady claimed the franchise shaped him into the person he is today
The Patriots drafted Brady 199 overall in the 2000. If his predecessor Drew Bledsoe had not been injured, the Michigan graduate would not have had the opportunity to be a starting quarterback.
In his first year as a starter, Brady won the Super Bowl and cemented his place as the No. 1 quarterback in New England. It ended Bledsoe’s spell with the team, but the four-time Pro Bowler never had hard feelings about it. On the contrary, he prefers to joke about it.
Over the years, the Patriots saw many coaches come and go except for Bill Belichick. The veteran head coach saw the potential in the scrawny and lanky kid from San Fran and gave him a chance.
Brady repaid the faith with six Super Bowls, 9 AFC Championships, and 17 divisional titles along with countless individual accolades, including 5-time Super Bowl MVP and 3-time NFL MVP, and attended Pro Bowl 15 times.
All these experiences with these guys I played with and all the coaches that I played with and for this organization made me into the person…. Shaped into the person that I am today.Tom Brady said
Brady retired from football in 2023 and is looking forward to a career in broadcasting. He signed a 10-year contract with FOX Sports and will make his TV debut in the Week 1 game between the Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys.
