Video: Popular WWE star FAILS in his attempt to RKO Randy Orton again despite veteran’s support
Top WWE superstar and former champion fails to RKO Randy Orton yet again despite receiving support from wrestling veteran.
This week saw the continuation of Tommaso Ciampa‘s quest to hit an RKO out of nowhere on the popularizer of the move, Randy Orton. Like always, he was joined by his tag team partner, Johnny Gargano. As a special surprise, wrestling veteran Bobby Roode decided to accompany the duo this time.
Gargano posted another video of their hilarious skits on his X account. He was consoling a disheartened Ciampa about his previous failed attempts at hitting the RKO on The Viper. The 37-year-old claimed that he had something that would cheer his teammate up. The former NXT Champion then panned the camera as Roode walked into the frame while his entrance music played in the background.
Ciampa started smiling after being joined by the 48-year-old. Unfortunately, his happiness was short-lived, as Orton was spotted in the background. Gargano told the formerly known Robert Roode to walk away, as he wanted no part of the two-time NXT Champion and his frustration.
The 39-year-old was fuming at the sight of the Legend Killer and vowed to kill him for ruining his life. He ran towards Orton and jumped towards him in an attempt to RKO him. However, the former WWE Champion walked out of the way without even noticing that Ciampa was pouncing at him. Ciampa returned to his teammate, screaming in pain after falling down on the floor.
In the caption, Gargano thanked the fans for their birthday wishes. However, he wanted to give gifts rather than receive them. This is why he brought on Roode as a way to lift Ciampa’s mood. This mini-series by the former WWE Tag Team Champions has featured other wrestling veterans as guests as well. The Blackheart once tried to RKO Kevin Owens, which ended horribly for him.
Randy Orton hits Gunther with an RKO ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship match at Bash in Berlin
The latest episode of Raw featured Randy Orton coming down to the ring to cut a promo. He recalled how he had become the youngest world champion in history 20 years earlier. He would repeat that feat in a few weeks in Berlin, becoming a 15-time World Champion in the process. This claim wasn’t taken well by Gunther, who came out to interrupt the Apex Predator.
Gunther said that Orton wasted his potential, for which there was no room in today’s era. He claimed that he was going to give the wrestling veteran the beating of a lifetime and that the 44-year-old would never be champion again. Furthermore, he even called his father and grandfather screw-ups.
Drew McIntyre eventually made his entrance to interrupt the two superstars. Earlier during the show, he had expressed frustration with Orton, a SmackDown superstar, challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Viper used this distraction to hit an RKO out of nowhere on the Ring General. The Scottish Warrior was also hit with a surprise attack by his rival, CM Punk, as the two had an intense brawl.
