Tommy Edman has admitted that he hated facing Blake Snell as he kept on struggling against him in his MLB career.

Since the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have made some big moves in the offseason. One of them was signing 2-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell on a 5-year $182 million deal. Tommy Edman is now relieved to be teammates with him rather than going up against him.
A few days after the Dodgers roped in Snell, they extended the contract of Edman. This means that the two of them will remain as teammates for a while now.
While speaking on the MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM, the 2024 NLCS MVP pointed out his struggles against Snell. The utilityman expressed that he went something like 0-for-12 against Snell and stated that he hated going up against the southpaw.
I always hated facing Snell, so I’m glad I don’t have to face him anymore. At one point this past year, I was looking at my stats against pitchers, trying to see which pitcher I have the most at-bats against with zero hits, and it was Snell. I think I’m like 0-for-12 off him or something like that.

Blake Snell won the Cy Young Award in 2023 after an incredible year with the San Diego Padres. He would later become a free agent. In January last year, he joined the San Francisco Giants on a two-year deal.
After a slow start to his 2024 campaign, which had two stints on the injured list, Snell came back to form in the second half of the season. He posted 1.64 ERA across six starts in August and a 1.00 ERA across four starts in September.
Following the end of the regular season, Snell became a free agent once again as he opted out of his remaining contract with the Giants. He will now represent a third NL West side from the 2025 season.
Tommy Edman drops bold prediction for LA Dodgers in 2025 season
The Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024 won it all. Though they did win the World Series in 2020, it was a COVID-shortened season, which had perhaps not satisfied some people. In 2024, they overcame one of their long-time nemesis, the New York Yankees to claim their eighth World Series title. After this triumph, Tommy Edman has dropped a bold prediction regarding his team for the 2025 campaign.

The 29-year-old has backed his team to go back-to-back in the World Series. No team has won back-to-back World Series titles since the Yankees did from 1998 to 2000. Edman has predicted that the Dodgers will be the one to do so and create a dynasty.
We’re going for that back-to-back title. I don’t think anybody’s done it since, the New York Yankees back in the late 90s. So, hoping to start that dynasty.

In the long history of MLB, there have been 14 instances where teams have won back-to-back titles. The Yankees have done this on six occasions. Apart from them, the Oakland Athletics, the Cincinnati Reds, The Toronto Blue Jays, the San Francisco Giants (then called the New York Giants) and the Boston Red Sox have been successful in defending their title.
