Real Madrid evoke a sense of fear and respect in Europe like no other in Europe. The Los Blancos may have endured a difficult start to their season in the Champions League this campaign, but that didn’t stop Toni Kroos from making a confident claim about the club. The former midfielder and club legend drew examples from that of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos‘ careers to prove that the club would be fine in his absence.

Madrid have evidently found it difficult to find a replacement for the German, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti even stating that they will not bother looking for a player with a similar profile. Toni Kroos stated that the La Liga giants have had players bigger than him leave in the past and managed to manoeuvre their way out of the crisis.

Real Madrid have adapted and stayed winning when Cristiano and Ramos left. We won the UCL twice without them, and the same will happen to me now.

Toni Kroos said in his podcast

Ever since the 34-year-old hung up his boots, he has taken an active interest in social media, making comments about both his own teammates and rival teams/players.

Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger ‘afraid’ of Barcelona gem

The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona is one of the most fierce and competitive in all of Europe. Even though the two sides haven’t faced each other in official competition yet, Madrid’s trusted centre back Antonio Rudiger stated that one particular Blaugrana star evokes fear in him! The German was speaking about none other than 17-year-old Lamine Yamal!

He’s 17. It’s ridiculous! The play he already is for them is quite scary. He has a great future ahead.

Antonio Rudiger told Inside Scoop HQ

The Los Blancos are currently second in La Liga and trailing by three points behind rivals Barcelona. The Blaugrana have won all but one of their games in La Liga, while Madrid have drawn three of the eight games they’ve played.

Rudiger also stated that Karim Benzema is the best player that he’s shared the pitch with at Madrid. Subsequently, he named William Saliba, Virgil van Dijk and Gabriel Magalhaes as his top three centre backs on the planet. After a draw against Atletico and a loss to Lille, Madrid play their next games against Villarreal and Celta Vigo.
