Tony Ferguson looks eager to make it back into the Octagon after suffering a loss against Justin Gaethje who ended his 12 fight win streak at UFC 249.

‘El Cucuy’ even tweeted expressing his desire to jump back in action in December and give the fans what they want. Ferguson has from time to time shown that he is not one to shy away from a challenge and always is hungry for more fights no matter who the opponent is.

According to ESPN’s Journalist Ariel Helwani, Ferguson looks to have hit a dead end with wanting a fight at UFC 256. Helwani’s claim has been taken from his latest episode DC & Helwani podcast.

Helwani says that Tony Ferguson is receiving no response from the UFC regarding his desire to fight in December on the main card.

Call out from former Bellator Lightweight Champion

Michael Chandler is on Tony Ferguson’s list of a potential opponent at UFC 256

At first, Ferguson had lacked the need to fight Michael Chandler, former Bellator Lightweight Champion and now has reverted back to the idea and wants to book his fight in December. ‘El Cucuy’ looks to close 2020 in style by sealing the deal for this fight and it would be perfect.

After losing Amanda Nunes versus Megan Anderson at UFC 256, this fight would be a great matchup for the two and a great filler for the cancelled fight.

The former lightweight Champion may have missed his last shot to reaching one step closer to his title but as of now he looks to brush off his recent loss and start working hard to get back what was once his. Chandler might not be the only opponent on his radar as he is one to take any opponent in his way.

Should ‘El Cucuy’ fight the newly singed Chandler and give the fans another surprise return to the Octagon?
