There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Ricky Starks. He was last seen on AEW TV on March 30th in a match on Collision, where he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight. Many fans speculated that he may be out with an injury. However, the 34-year-old debunked this myth on X. In recent times, there has been much speculation about his contract status with AEW.
During an AEW All In media call, Tony Khan gave some clarity regarding the rising star’s future in AEW. The AEW president confirmed that Ricky Starks was still under contract with the company. He has been there for years and is a well-regarded name in the locker room.
Khan talked about Starks’ incredible career in AEW. He has been an AEW Tag Team Champion and also won the Owen Hart Cup in 2023. Furthermore, he has beaten some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including CM Punk and Chris Jericho.
Ricky has been a great star in AEW, been a champion here, and has had great matches here. I think very highly of Ricky. He’s somebody that has been here for several years and he’s under contract in AEW. He’s a well-regarded wrestler here in AEW.

It is no secret that WWE is highly interested in signing the 34-year-old. His in-ring skills are impeccable; he is passionate on the microphone and has a great aura around him. Starks has a very bright future in wrestling, and the Stamford-based promotion would love to have him on their shows.
Starks has not been announced for the card at All In and likely won’t be wrestling at the show. However, he does have a small chance to make a surprise return during the Casino Gauntlet match. Even if he doesn’t, AEW has several surprises planned for the match, including the potential debut of Ricochet.

Although WWE has significantly increased both televised and untelevised international shows every year, AEW is not far behind. Their All In event in London is their flagship PPV, and they just aired the first ever Dynamite episode hosted in Cardiff, Wales. Tony Khan is looking to expand this feat by looking at hosting a show in Australia.
During the same media call, Tony Khan revealed that he is currently looking at various locations in Australia to run an event in 2025. Although he did not reveal much, he promised more information in the future, claiming that the next year was going to be a milestone year for the company.

This news comes just a few months after WWE held its first PLE in Perth, Australia. The event was a huge success, with a reported attendance of over 50,000. AEW also has several Australian talents that they can leverage for the show, such as Toni Storm and Buddy Matthews.
