On December 10, 2023, Tony Romo, the CBS sports commentator, sent fans and Swifties into a frenzy with a tongue-in-cheek slip-up. I did, kind of, play with the fans. I think I was like, ‘And there’s …’ I think I said, ‘his wife,’ I did that on purpose. And people were like, ‘Do you know something?’ I was like, ‘Nah, I just wanted to make you guys think for a second [and] just mess with you a little bit.’

Though Romo made a mistake, Swift and Kelce are very close to becoming spouses. The pair announced their engagement last August with an Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

According to the latest reports, the pair is scheduled to wed later this year in a private and intimate glitzy ceremony in Rhode Island. However, there’s some trouble in paradise brewing behind the curtains.
