Indian Head coach Ravi Shastri on Wednesday took up on Twitter a point of India cricket unique connection with number 36. He also highlighted the significance of the number for Team India and also as to how it played a role in the number game for Indian Cricket.

Ravi Shastri shared a picture of himself on social media handles in which he could be seen holding a trophy. In the caption, he wrote how there are too many 36s related to Indian cricket. He started by mentioning the six sixes he hit in an over before mentioning Sunil Gavaskar’s infamous 36* runs in 60 overs. Shastri also mentioned the Adelaide debacle and finished his tweet by tagging Yuvraj Singh who has also hit six sixes in an over.

“Ha… Too many 36’s. Six 6s mine. Team 36 Adelaide. One day number 36. Gavaskar 36. @YUVSTRONG12 six 6s. Could be more…” wrote Shastri.

India will face England in the five-match T20I series beginning today and Ravi Shastri would want the side to come up with a strong performance. After conquering the World Test Championship league stages and only the final to go, the focus for now will be on the shortest format of the game especially because of the fact that the ICC T20 World Cup comes up later this year and in India at that.
