The 2024 ATP season witnessed a lot of landmark feats, especially youngsters winning titles. Carlos Alcaraz won his maiden French Open in June and then the following month lifted the Wimbledon Championship just after turning 21. Jannik Sinner won his maiden Grand Slam at the Australian before his 23rd birthday.

Both players ended the chapter of the Big 3 dominance in men’s tennis. Also, Chinese youngster Juncheng Shang was just 19 years old when he won the Chengdu Open in October, the first title of his career. 3) Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard began the 2024 season by featuring in the ATP Challenger. However, as the season went along he began to qualify for the draw of ATP events. At the Lyon Open, he was handed a wildcard to play in his home country event. The French star famously defeated the likes of Lorenzo Sonego and Alexander Bublik.

He then went on to beat Tomas Martin Etcheverry in three sets in the final to lift the title. He became the first player to win the title through wildcard entry was just 20 years and 10 months when he achieved the feat. Three months later he turned 21 and claimed his second title at the ATP 500 Swiss Indoors event.

2. Arthur Fils

Arthur Fils has been a revelation since the 2023 season. The Frenchman won his first career title last season at just 18. At 20 years and 1 month, this season, he claimed his second title at the ATP 500 Hamburg Open. The World No. 20 also earned his biggest career win at the event by defeating World No.2 Alexander Zverev 6–3, 3–6, 7–6 (1).

Fils then reached the second week of the Wimbledon Championship but lost to Alex de Minaur in the fourth round. In October, he defeated Taylor Fritz, Matteo Berrettini, and Holger Rune en route to lifting the Japan Open title. He finished the year with an impressive 36-26 win-loss record.

1. Juncheng Shang

Juncheng Shang is the only teenager to have won an ATP title this year. The Chinese youngster earned it at the Chengdu Open, where he defeated Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets. He was 19 years and 7 months.

Also, he became the second Chinese man to win an ATP title in the Open Era after Wu Yibing. He is one of the two teenagers currently in the top 100 of the ATP rankings.
