1. Sir Donald Bradman (12)
One of the finest Test batsmen of all-time, Sir Donald Bradman has a mammoth 12 double-centuries to his name. He scored 6996 runs in his career at an average of 99.94. This is still the greatest even after almost 72 years since Bradman played his last Test match in 1948.
2. Kumar Sangakkara (11)
Former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara ended his Test career with just one 200 less than Bradman. With 11 double-tons, Sangakkara has the second most 200 plus scores in the longer format of the game. With 12,400 Test runs, the former skipper is also the leading run-scorer for his country in red-ball cricket.

3. Brian Lara (9)
Legendary West Indian batsman Brian Charles Lara scored nine 200s in his Test career. With close to 12,000 runs in the five-day cricket format, Lara had a scintillating batting average of around 53. Moreover, with his best score of 400*, the Trinidadian also holds the record of the highest individual knock in a Test inning.
4. Wally Hammond (7)
With seven double-hundreds in 85 Tests, former English batsman Wally Hammond is the fourth player to feature in this list. The Englishman batted 140 times in his Test career to amass 7249 runs, averaging over 58. Hammond ended his cricket span with the personal best score of 336* during a match against New Zealand.
5. Virat Kohli (7)
Modern Master Virat Kohli is the only active player to feature in the list of most 200s in Test cricket. He has seven double-centuries to his name in 86 five-day matches so far. Moreover, he is also the only batsman to average over 50 in all three forms of the game at the moment.
