Andre Russell- 62 sixes

One of the most destructive T20 batsmen the game has ever seen, Andre Russell sits in fifth position. In his IPL career, he has hit 77 sixes. The West Indian cricketer had an outstanding run in 2019. He amassed 510 runs in 14 matches at an astonishing strike rate of 204.81. He would be hoping to replicate a similar performance in the 2023 edition as well. The player will certainly overtake Rohit Sharma’s record this season.

Rohit Sharma is hailed as one of the prolific run-scorers in the IPL. No matter what the format is when he gets going, he makes sure he converts those half-centuries into big scores. Despite batting in the top-order, Sharma has the 4th most number of sixes in the death overs. He has hit 78 sixes in the death overs in his IPL career.

De Villiers is known for hitting some outrageous shots and most of them come in the death overs. He has hit 112 sixes in the death overs in his IPL career.

Having remained a key player for RCB for so many years, he left a whole gap in the team’s combination following his retirement. He is rumored to be joining the RCB team in a coaching role.

Kieron Pollard has proved to be one of the biggest assets for Mumbai Indians over the years. The West Indian skipper engineered several victories for the side, especially in the big games. He has been one of the best finishers in IPL and has hit the second-most number of sixes in the death overs in the league.

Pollard has scored as many as 127 sixes in the death overs. The power hitter retired after a poor 2022 IPL Season and will be joining the coaching staff of Mumbai Indians.

The heart of CSK- MS Dhoni, understandably, tops the list with as many as 152 sixes to his name in death overs. Nobody has had a greater impact in the death overs than MS Dhoni. The CSK skipper is unarguably the greatest finisher the world has ever seen. 

Given that he now has retired from international cricket, speculations have been rife that the upcoming edition of IPL might also be his last. He would look to better his tally this season.
