AJ Francis, aka Top Dolla, was released from WWE last September following the TKO merger. His run in WWE was unfortunately not memorable, as many fans trolled him for his poor performance in the ring. When a user recently mocked him for his release, the former SmackDown star gave him a fitting reply on social media.

He took to X and responded to a derogatory message, which mentioned that WWE made the right decision by releasing him. The troll also insulted the former Hit Row member by saying that Top Dolla was never a main event star. The latter took no time in responding and stated that the troll was just a hater who knew how to berate people on social media.

Speaking about his relationship with the Stamford-based company, the former Hit Row member believed that it was definitely not his last run with WWE. He even claimed to have good relationships with the people at WWE. Dolla admitted that his initial reaction to his release was frustration, but after a while, he gathered the courage to find a new game plan.

The 34-year-old star had a semi-successful run in NXT and a short stint on the main roster. After being released in 2023 due to a round of cuts, the superstar has found success elsewhere. He has wrestled for MLW, TNA, and other companies. In fact, he was crowned the new TNA Digital Media Champion on the May 19 episode of TNA.

Top Dolla lauded Ricochet and stated that he was the greatest in-ring performer ever

Ricochet has accomplished many astonishing feats throughout his wrestling career. His athleticism is unmatched, and many wrestlers have praised his high-flying skills in the ring. One of those stars is Top Dolla, who couldn’t stop praising him as a performer.

While speaking in an interview with Wrestling News, the 34-year-old star stated that Ricochet was one of the greatest in-ring performers ever. He didn’t hesitate to praise Ricochet’s selling style and how efficiently he performed his moves. Top Dolla also felt that he might end up in AEW after he recently left WWE.

He’s one of the greatest, if not the greatest, in-ring guy ever, in my opinion. I mean the way he sells, the way he moves, the moves that he does, it’s undeniable. They say the rumors are he’s going to AEW.

Similarly, AEW wrestler Will Ospreay once compared Ricochet to the legendary Rey Mysterio. As of now, there is no confirmed news about where he might end up, although he is expected to join AEW soon. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
