Rising UFC fighter Caio Borralho will fight his first main event bout this weekend at UFC Vegas 96. The rising middleweight will take on Jared Cannonier in a five-round clash at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. However, going into the fight, Borralho had some interesting comments about the divisional champion, Dricus Du Plessis

Du Plessis recently defended his middleweight belt against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 in Perth. In the fourth round, DDP’s relentless pressure prevailed as he submitted Izzy via a rear naked choke. Throughout the fight, the champ showcased his usual unorthodox and bizarre fighting style and got the job done. When asked about it, Caio Borralho couldn’t understand how DDP keeps winning.

In all Dricus's fights, I always bet against him. It's crazy how bad he is, but how he makes it work. Props to him, I just congratulate him.

According to the Brazilian, Du Plessis always has a bad game plan and technique, but he manages to win his fights. Borralho is currently focused on his upcoming fight with Cannonier. However, he looks forward to fighting against the champion in the future. Since the fight, the weird style of fighting by DDP has been the talk of the town in the fighting community.

Many experts, including Mike Tyson‘s coach, have credited Dricus Du Plessis for his ability to win fights. Similarly, top heavyweight Tom Aspinall also praised the South African for his fighting IQ. Apart from all this, ‘StillKnocks’ has successfully shut down a lot of haters after his latest win.

Dricus Du Plessis – The king of clapping back at his doubters

The main event of UFC 305 between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis was an absolute treat for the fight fans. Both fighters almost fought evenly for most of the four rounds. DDP changed levels frequently, but it wasn’t easy to keep Adesanya on the ground. However, after four rounds of back and forth, Du Plessis finally got the finish.

Ahead of the fight, many peers and experts were doubtful about Dricus Du Plessis’s chances against Izzy. Popular rapper Drake even bet a whopping $450K on Izzy to win. After winning, DDP didn’t forget to mock the celebrity via a sarcastic tweet. Du Plessis also ridiculed UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub, who thought Izzy would dominate the whole fight.

Du Plessis also mocked UFC fighter Darren Till, who evidently gave tips to Adesanya ahead of the fight. Similarly, the champion didn’t forget to clap back at top flyweight Steve Erceg as well. In an interview, Erceg discredited DDP’s abilities. So, other than being an expert in making his opponents cry, the champion is quite good at mocking his haters.
