Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou angrily confronted disappointed fans following the club’s 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth in an EPL encounter. A group of dejected Tottenham supporters booed and jeered at the Australian manager in a frustrating end to the match.

Tottenham suffered their sixth defeat of the ongoing EPL season. They lost 1-0 to Bournemouth in a woeful display of defending, with center-back Dean Huijsen scoring a 17th-minute winner. Spurs have now won just one match since October, with their sole victory coming against Manchester City.

Despite Ange Postecoglou promising a trophy in his second season in charge, the club looks nowhere near one. They struggle both in the Premier League as well as the UEFA Europa League. In the immediate aftermath of their defeat against Bournemouth, Postecoglou had a heated confrontation with a group of angry Spurs fans.

He marched across the pitch toward the away stand after the full-time whistle and shook his head to urge the fans to keep calm. He also exchanged a few harsh words with them before a steward intervened to defuse the situation. Speaking after the match, the 59-year-old boss stated that the fans were rightly disappointed. He also agreed with the ‘direct’ feedback he had received.

They’re disappointed and rightly so. They gave me some direct feedback, which I guess is taken onboard.

However, Postecoglou accepted that he did not like what was being said by some of the fans and even stated the need to stop doing it. Tottenham’s defeat to Bournemouth leaves them in 10th position on the EPL table with just 20 points, way behind the top four spots.

Tottenham Hotspur determined to sign Wolverhampton star Matheus Cunha, despite club’s reluctance

Wolverhampton forward Matheus Cunha is reportedly considered a Tottenham transfer target. The club is willing to begin negotiations to complete a deal in January. It would clearly be against Wolves’ wishes, as they hope to tie him down at the club in the future.

Wolves are eager to extend Cunha’s contract at the club, making him their highest-paid player. It would definitely fend off interest from Spurs, who are willing to offer more than £50 million to acquire his services. Cunha has been instrumental for the Wolves this season, having scored seven goals and provided three assists in 15 matches. He is a versatile forward who can play across the front three.

In addition to Cunha, Tottenham is also interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze. The club has been tracking the young Englishman’s development for a year.
