Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have signed Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke for a record-breaking sum of £65 million this summer. The 26-year-old attacker is set to replace former star Harry Kane, who left for Bayern Munich last season.
Tottenham has been looking to strengthen their attack, since their all-time top-scorer Harry Kane departed to join Bayern Munich. Under manager Ange Postecoglou, the club has made a major push to end their long silverware drought by signing Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth. The forward joins on a six-year contract, running until 2030, for a transfer fee of £55 million, with an additional £10 million in add-ons.
The 26-year-old forward finished the 2023-24 season as the Premier League’s fifth-highest scorer, netting 19 goals in 38 matches. With previous stints at Liverpool and Chelsea before 2019, Solanke also brings valuable experience into Tottenham’s underperforming attack. The former Chelsea striker will be Spurs’ fourth summer signing, following the additions of young talents Yang Min-Hyuk, Lucas Bergvall, and Archie Gray.
