Tottenham Hotspur’s stance on parting ways with manager Ange Postecoglou has been revealed after a poor run of performances. The Australian manager’s job seems to be safe despite the club’s recent 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the EPL.

Spurs have endured a dismal run in the Premier League this season. They are currently placed 12th on the EPL table with 24 points from 20 matches, having just won seven out of those. The North London side is on a four-match winless run and suffered their tenth defeat to Newcastle.

Against the Magpies, Spurs took an early 4th-minute lead through Dominic Solanke’s strike. However, the visitors staged a brilliant comeback to seal the match 2-1. Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak scored a goal each. Tottenham’s poor form has led to speculation over manager Ange Postecoglou’s future. The Australian manager’s promise to deliver this season seems far-fetched.

However, English journalist David Ornstein during an NBC Sports broadcast revealed that the club has expressed full faith in the former Celtic boss’ abilities. He added that the club is not thinking about dismissing Postecoglou halfway through the season, owing to their belief that the club has a chance to win the UEL and the EFL Cup this term.

Ange Postecoglou is 100% safe in his job, I’m told. There is no uncertainty over his future, despite the pressure… They’re [Tottenham] backing him to lead this project forward and they’ll hope he delivers.

Therefore, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the 59-year-old manager. Spurs will be hoping to turn around their fortunes when they face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semifinals this week. This will be followed by a crucial EPL encounter against arch-rivals Arsenal.

Tottenham completes first January signing in major relief to manager Ange Postecoglou

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou will breathe a sigh of relief, despite the club enduring a gruesome injury crisis this season. It comes after Tottenham completed its first signing of the winter transfer window in Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky

The club most recently announced the arrival of the Slavia Prague keeper in a deal worth £12.5 million. The 21-year-old has been brought in to provide cover for the injured Guglielmo Vicario. The Italian keeper is set to remain out until February following an ankle surgery. Kinsky, who has kept 12 clean sheets in 19 league appearances this season, has agreed to a six-year-long deal until 2031.

Moreover, the Czech keeper’s arrival will provide the much-needed boost to Postecoglou’s side. The manager is now looking for replacements in other positions. Apart from a goalkeeper, the club also needs a new center-back, as both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero remain out.
