The Three Lions however, have a chance to rewrite history on the 14th as they go head to head with Luis de la Fuente‘s Spain for the European championship. While every single player in Gareth Southgate‘s squad will be hungry for the title, captain Harry Kane in particular will be out with a point to prove.

Despite being one of the best strikers of his generation, Harry Kane is yet to win a trophy in his career. A recent admission in an interview ahead of the final revealed just show how desperate he is to add a trophy to his collection.

From mocking his inability to lift trophies to carrying the ‘curse’ with him to Bayern Munich, Kane has been made fun of for his team’s failures on the big stage. Following his recent admission that he’ll swap everything he’s done in his career for a victory in the final, fans took to social media to make fun of the star.

As per many, Kane hasn’t done ‘anything’ in his career yet to swap with the 2024 Euros title. A few others claimed that the skipper essentially stated that he’ll swap zero trophies for one trophy! Some were laughing about how Kane suggested that he’ll swap his Audi Cup for a European Championship. That being said, a few sympathized with the striker and wanted him to win the final to put an end to all the disrespect.

English supporters backed their captain, claiming that Spain are in for a surprise in the final. After a rather underwhelming campaign in terms of goals, Kane will definitely redeem himself with a good performance in the final. Despite Ollie Watkins scoring the winning goal for England in the semi-final, it is unlikely that Southgate will bench ‘England’s best ever player’ for the final!
