The Atlanta Hawks star recently got caught up in a verbal battle against the Detroit Pistons on social media. This comes as a surprise as he enjoys playing the antagonist to the New York Knicks supporters.

The Pistons played against the Hawks in a thrilling encounter, which ended with the Pistons winning in the last play of the game. After the win, the Pistons’ social media X account mocked Young as they posted, “Booooo, take y’all a** home,” taking a dig at the visiting team. For context, Young recently uttered these words after beating the New York Knicks a few days ago.

Pistons jumped on the bandwagon and tried to mock the Hawks star. However, Young had a savage response to the Pistons’ social media post. Trae Young replied to the Pistons on X, “When I talk I be giving em captions.” This response garnered widespread reactions from the NBA community, finding it hilarious coming from Young after losing a match.

I’ll never forget like this young little girl, if I had to guess, maybe 10 to 12. Like just giving me the finger, like right behind the scorer’s table and I’m looking at her dad, like I don’t say nothing to her. I just look at the dad and I’m like, that’s cool?
