Trae Young laments Luka Doncic trade with stirring truth
Hawks star had a wholesome reaction to Luka Doncic's Mavs tribute video on his return to the American Airlines Center.

Trae Young and Luka Doncic
The day Luka Doncic was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks, one thing was sure: it broke millions of hearts in Dallas. Doncic was the Mavs’ poster boy, someone they could trust to lead the side on the court. Once the trade went through, the Mavs fans carried out angry rants towards the franchise’s GM, Nico Harrison.
The situation had gotten out of control, and to this day after 2 months, it still is. Mostly because Luka Doncic would have never left, if it was down to his own choice. In addition, his NBA rival and Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young has the same opinion about the current Lakers star, tweeting his feelings.
He was never gonna leave…

However, Young’s feelings came after he came across Doncic’s reaction to his own Mavs tribute video. For context, the Lakers took on the Mavs at the American Airlines Center, with Doncic making his return to his former ‘home court’ for the first time as an opponent. With emotions running through, Doncic was shown his tribute video.
Of course, the Slovenian could not control his emotions as tears came down his face. Hence, Young’s remarks follow after that. As for the Lakers-Mavs game, Doncic showed no mercy toward his former side, making a statement against Harrison. Doncic scored a whopping 45 points and claimed an important win for his side.
In addition, the Lakers strengthened their hold on third place in the Western Conference with contributions of 15 points from Rui Hachimura and 27 points and seven rebounds from LeBron James. Doncic and Co. will be focused on keeping their 3rd seed going into the final weeks of the regular NBA season.
Luka Doncic revealed his perspective on ’emotional’ Mavs return
Ahead of the Lakers-Mavs matchup, all attention drifted towards the return of the former Mavs star, Luka Doncic. Notably, the Mavs fans were waiting patiently for Doncic’s views on his return to the American Airlines Center. Notably, Doncic has had a difficult time adjusting to the abrupt move to the LA Lakers. The star guard is still getting used to his new franchise. Doncic discussed his sentiments with the media.
I know it’s been two months or something, but still adapting a little bit. It was a big change. But it’s getting better.

His performance has not been impacted, although he is still getting used to it. For the Lakers, Doncic has been putting up excellent statistics every single day. Despite having a slow start to his tenure, he soon improved to the point where he is currently averaging 27.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists for the Lakers.
JJ Redick made a hilarious remark regarding Luka Doncic’s performance vs the Mavs
Luka Doncic’s return to the American Airlines Center was something everyone was looking forward to, from fans, and analysts to rival players. It’s safe to say that, the Lakers star did not disappoint anyone on the court. He dropped a monstrous 45 points against the Mavs, bringing out wholesome reactions worldwide.
However, his HC JJ Redick was not impressed with his performance. Hilariously, Redick wanted more from Doncic despite scoring 45 points. The Lakers HC made his views clear on Docncic during the post-match presser but with a smirk on his face.
I thought he was gonna get 50… Disappointed.

The Lakers face the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets in their final two games. The previous time these two faced each other, the Lake Show won against the fiery Rockets. On any given night, though, the Rockets have proven they are capable of defeating anyone. Hence, the upcoming Lakers-Rockets matchup will be one to watch for NBA fans around the world.
