The Atlanta Hawks, led by Trae Young, took on the Chicago Bulls and offered plenty of drama on Tuesday night. The Bulls pulled off a stellar comeback as they were down by as much as 18 points, and the drama was amplified in the final quarter when Young slapped Ayo Dosunmu on his posterior, who was heading to the bench after being subbed out.

It was one of the best comebacks of the season so far as the Bulls were down by 13 heading into the fourth quarter. But in the end, they recorded a 126-123 over the Hawks at the State Farm Arena on Tuesday night.

The impressive win made it four in a row and propelled the Bulls to 14-15 as they find themselves at tenth in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Hawks dropped to ninth with a 15-16 record. After a bright start to the season, the Hawks have won just two out of their last ten games and are on a four-match losing streak at the moment.

It was Trae Young‘s eighth game of the season, as he has been struggling with injuries throughout the campaign. The Hawks guard is currently averaging 19.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists. Young is well known for his trash-talking and has often taken it to the New York Knicks crowd.

It was no different on Tuesday night as Young instigated a heated moment with Bulls player Dosunmu. While the former number five pick of the 2018 NBA draft recorded a double-double, scoring 22 points to go along with 15 assists, his intense confrontation with Dosunmu led to technical fouls for both players as teammates stepped in to separate the two.

The Hawks star has now gone 12-2 against Dosunmu, who often gives Young a run for his money, which may have resulted in the tempers flaring in the fourth quarter.

Fans react to Trae Young and Ayo Dosunmu’s confrontation

After the incident went viral on social media, several fans took to social media to express their opinions on what took place. Here are some of the reactions:

Josh Giddey to be nominated as an NBA All-Star?

Josh Giddey has been one of the biggest stories of the 2025-26 campaign for the Chicago Bulls. After being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder as the number six pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Giddey spent three seasons with the Thunder before being traded to the Bulls in exchange for Alex Caruso. The move ended up working for the Thunder as they lifted the NBA Championship last season and are the most dominant team at the moment.

But Giddey has shown significant growth this campaign after an underwhelming first season with the Bulls. The Bulls guard recorded his seventh triple-double of the season on Tuesday night. Giddey is averaging 20 points, 9.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists so far this season.

His latest performance of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists further strengthens his case for his maiden NBA All-Star nod. The triple-double against the Hawks was the fastest in Bulls history, as he achieved it in just 20 minutes.

The Aussie star has been instrumental and the focal point for the Bulls this season, and will be looking to make his first appearance in the NBA All-Star game this season.
